Artist statement
When I work with collages I like to have a theme so I can have some kind of idea of what I would like to do the collage on. When I were working on this collage the American Windows is what gave me the idea and inspired me to do my theme on the color blue. Blue is my favorite color and the American Window’s main color is blue and reminds me of peace and is really relaxing. In my collage there are two pictures with a view of water and they also remind me of peace and tranquility. Another one of my picture reminds me of children’s art because of its playful quality. When I see my work is going well I’m filled with happiness because I know my idea is coming along the way I imagined it. When people see my work, I’d like them to feel the same way I do when I look at the pictures I picked for my collage. When I look at the pictures, I like to put myself in the same place that the artist would put themselves in.
